Bunnies and Blog Hop

You can't have Easter without having bunnies and these little cuties from LOTV obviously love cupcakes ... well ... thinking about it ... who doesn't?
They were coloured with Promarkers and cut out with Nestabilities Labels Four before being added as a topper to a 5" x 5" easel card, already decorated with gorgeous Easter papers from Paper Cellar.  A strip of multicoloured ribbon, a couple of pink pearls and some paper flowers with Stickle centres add some dimension and sparkle.
The 'stop' is provided by using a slim strip of paper, matted onto silver mirri and adhered to the base with foam pads to raise it.  The greeting is a simple silver peel off on a punched circle of paper which is attached to a silver daisy flower with silicon glue.
The card does fold flat enough to fit into an envelope although it would require a 'large' stamp for posting because of the 3D elements.
There are a gazillion Easter themed challenges on the go right now but I have chosen just a couple to play along with ...
C4E - #66 Bunnies and Chicks PLUS Blog Hop
Card Makin Mamas - #42 Easter
Crafty Sentiments - Bunnies
Incy Wincy Designs - #140 Easter
Now I'm hippitty- hopping back over to join in the Crafts 4 Eternity blog hop. Have a super Saturday ... wherever you are and whatever you are doing.

Paper Piecing

Where on earth do the days go??
I'm sure someone is stealing them from me when I'm not looking!

I have to tell you that I really enjoy playing along with the challenges but time restrictions mean I don't always get a chance. However, I particularly wanted to join in with Simon Says Stamp Paper Piecing Challenge as I'm a "paper piecing virgin" ... or should I say WAS !!

I PaperPieced these 2 adorable characters using the Woodware Patchwork Giraffes stamp ... isn't it a cutie??
It was stamped onto both plain white card and then again onto patterned paper from Paper Cellar 'Spring' 6" x 6" pad.

I then doodled around the edge of the image with a black fineliner and added fringed strips of paper grass from the paper leftovers, before adding a few floral adhesive gems and a sentiment decorated with green gingham ribbon.
Just hope I'm not too late to join in this week.

For the Boys

June is a pretty busy month for birthdays in our family and on Sunday 14th it's the turn of my nephew and my son to celebrate their special day.
I'm still working on our card for Niall ... GULP! ... it's not easy trying to work when he's hovering around and sticky-beaking into my space ... but I finished this one for Naomi to give to him. The image was in a folder on my PC and I added the text in PSP (Paint Shop Pro) before printing it onto plain white paper and double matting onto coloured card. The stripy paper is from a Paper Cellar pad.
Hopefully he will disappear to bed soon so's I can wrap his prezzies and finish his card from hubby and I ... if not then it'll probably mean a night shift for me.

This die cut decoupage car was completed on Friday and posted to my nephew so hopefully it arrived today ... nothing startling but fingers crossed he likes it.
Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful weekend ... wherever you are and whatever you are doing.

Bright 'n' Bold

This card uses some more of the Paper Cellar papers which were part of my CB prize.
The colours are really vibrant Springtime colours and you can't help but feel brighter just by seeing them spread on the table in front of you ... even if, (like me), you're feeling like "Little Miss CrabbyPants".

So do you think I should decorate the walls with them to keep me feeling bright'n'breezy ?
But then again ... that may be more stimulation than I can handle.

Awards ... Love ... and Thanks

I have been the lucky recipient of some more bloggy awards which is always a privilege and a constant surprise as I have a notorious reputation for not passing them on.

Huge thanks to Ann and Tasha for these recent additions to my collection.

I'm trying very hard to be a good girl and still continuing to use up magazine freebies so here's some more 'free' cards.

Everything including the cardblanks were magazine free gifts.

Can you spot the subtle difference between them?

My final offering shows a card I made using some of the Paper Cellar goodies which arrived yesterday.

The Spring papers are really bright and absolutely guaranteed to cheer up a grey day ... and don't you just love the funky shape of these alphabet stickies?
